OPTION ONE (Bring Your Own Pots), OPTION TWO (Raku Fire GC Pots)
Join Garage Clay + Quinn Harrison of Muddy Mammoth Studios for 5-hours of Raku firing, creativity + community, and a delish picnic lunch (made by yours truly!). During the workshop, you will be guided through the entire raku firing process: decorating your pot’s surface, raku firing your individual pottery pieces (made by you or Garage Clay), + revealing your unique raku finishes. You will be taking THREE finished, ready-to-display Raku pottery pieces home the day of the workshop.
This workshop is accessible to everyone (21+) and all pottery backgrounds – the pro potters to folks who have never done pottery.
OPTION ONE (Bring Your Own Pots)
OPTION TWO (Raku Fire GC Pots)
Cancellation + Weather Policy
This workshop is meant for folks 21 years of age and older. A raku firing is an (exciting) participatory process that requires you to follow specific rules and directions in order to stay safe. You will be given thorough training and will be directed by Quinn Harrison, of Muddy Mammoth Studios, throughout the firing process. You should know that, as with any raku firing, you will potentially be exposed to extremely hot ware and kilns, fire and smoke from reduction chambers, as well as sharp edges from glazed pots. Any raku event could potentially result in serious injury including burns, smoke inhalation and cuts.
By signing up for this class, you acknowledge the risks involved, and agree to hold Garage Clay and Muddy Mammoth Studio harmless from any injuries incurred during the workshop.
***Please note: Raku fired pots are never fully vitrified, making them NOT FOOD-SAFE.
